FAQ We have compiled a list of "Frequently Asked Questions" for our CounterTraX application. If you still have questions about our services please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to answer your questions about this service.
What is CounterTraX? CounterTraX is an application which helps you to monitor and track visitor activity to your Web Site. By installing customized HTML and JavaScript code on your Web Site pages, you can see the activity of your Web Site and how your visitors are using your site. CounterTraX allows you to analyze the traffic of your Web Site and provides valuable information so you can better manage your site.
Can I install CounterTraX on my site? Our code will work on just about all Web Sites. The type of Web Sites where our code may not work would be in the case that you do not have access to the actual HTML code and can not place our customized code on your pages.
Why do I want to track my visitors? By analyzing the visitor activity on your Web Site you can answer questions like: Who? What? When? Where? You can manage your site and determine if a marketing campaign is providing the volume of traffic to your site that you expected. You can see if search engines are sending you traffic based on the keywords that people use.
Why do you have three different levels of service? We offer different levels of service so you can choose the most effective service for your type of Web Site and business. Each level is designed to provide you with the tools you need to better understand your Web Site traffic and visitors. Can I upgrade to a higher level if I like? Yes, you may upgrade or downgrade your account at any time. Click here for detailed information on the different account types we offer so you can tailor our services to your needs.
I installed the customized code on my site, how do I know if it is working? Once you have installed our code it immediately starts to track your Web Site activity. Simply go to your Web Site and view the pages that you have installed our CounterTraX code on. Then login to your account in our secure members area and view the many different reports. You should have report data immediately after the pages with our code are viewed.
Can I install the code on more than one Web Site? No. Our code is designed to track only one Web Site. It is customized to the Web Site you create the account for.
I accidentally removed the customized CounterTraX code from my web page, how can I get a copy of it? You can always get the customized code for your site by logging into our secure members area with your "Master Login" and password. Once you login, you can choose to copy the customized code or have it sent to you via email.
I have an outside developer who maintains my Web Site, how can I give them the customized HTML code for my site? You should never give anyone the Login and password information to your account. If you have a developer who needs to place the code on your Web Site then you can Login to your account and have the customized CounterTraX code and the instructions on how to install it emailed to you. You can then provide this to your developer.
Can others see my reports? Yes and no. You have the option to make some of your reports visible to anyone who would like to review them via the Internet.
Why can' t others see my reports? You need to login to your account using the "Master Login" and make your reports visible to the public.
Do I have to have a counter on each page? No. You choose weather or not you want the counter visible on each of your Web Site pages.
Am I going to have banners or pop up advertisements if I use this service? No. No. No. We do not have any banners or pop ups!!!!
How easy will it be to cancel my account? You can cancel your account anytime you like. Remember once you cancel your account you must remove the custom CounterTraX code from all of your Web Site pages.
I forgot my Login information! How can I get the Login ID and password for my account? If you forget the Login information for your account you can have it automatically sent to you at you Master Login address. Remember your Master login ID is also your email address. This is one more reason to always make sure to keep this information up to date.
